Cub Packs and Sponsor Troops: Treasure Island is coming back for year two! If you had a great time at our inaugural event last year, let's make this year even better!

What: Skills competition for webelos/arrow of light scouts.

Who: Webelos/AOL cub scouts and their sponsoring Scouts BSA troop.

When: October 3-5 2025. Main event on October 4

Where: Camp Glen Gray, Mahwah NJ

How it Works
Troops sponsor a pirate treasure challenge station based on Webelos/AOL advancement.

Webelos/AOL pirate crews circulate among 5-6 stations. At each pirate challenge they complete a scout skill to earn "treasure". Pirate crews with the highest amount of treasure will be recognized with a special ribbon for your pack flag!

Also, each cub gets the skill marked on their personal scorecard. Most skills can be used to satisfy cub scout achievement requirements.

Scouts BSA and Cubs are encouraged to dress in pirate costumes. We will be doing a "most piratical" award this year.

In the afternoon, the participants can enjoy fishing at Lake Vreeland, complete their hiking requirement on Glen Gray trails, or learn more skills with the help of their host troop. Cubs are encouraged to make arrangements to camp overnight with their sponsor troops - and get a real taste of the Scout experience.

Cost: $8 per participating cub scouts plus standard camping fees: $5 day visitor/$11 tenting). Sponsor troops pay for camping only.
