Back on the road, we'll cross over South Brook, one of the feeders of the lake. The brook forms a small pond on the right side of the road and pipes bring the water into the lake.

A short distance down the road and we'll see Mother's Pavillion. Originally a structure in a corner of the parking lot, this new version contains the concrete compass rose from the original structure. In the early days of camp, women were not allowed into the camp during the summer, so they waited there for their sons to come down to visit them. Today, you can stop and sit there for a while and rest while you have a cool drink from your back pack.

This new structure was built to honor the memory of Scouter Nancy Gasser.

Inside of the new pavillion is the compass rose removed and relocated from the original Mother's Pavillion.
