Camp
Glen GrayMother's Pavillion
Built to honor the memory of Scouter Nancy Gasser, this
beautiful pavillion sits near Explorer Cabin just on the shore of Lake
Vreeland.
In the early days of the camp, women were not allowed up
into the camp. When mothers visited their Boy Scout sons, they sat in a
small gazebo-like shelter called Mother's Pavillion located in the North
corner of the parking lot near the spillway. The original Mother's Pavillion
was constructed by the late Dr. John McMullen and his father. When the dam
underwent renovations, the compass rose from that building was removed
and was installed on the floor of the new pavillion at lakeside.
