Camp Glen GrayLake Vreeland
The lake was formed at the intersection of the North and South
Brooks when the Kidde-Miller dam was constructed. Lots of fish call the lake home.
Our lake has a thriving gamefish population consisting of Largemouth Bass, Bluegill
Sunfish, Pickerel, and Channel Catfish. In the fall, a catch and release fishing
derby is lots of fun. Fishing is available anytime (age 16 and over require a NJ
fishing license).
Explore the wonders of Lake Vreeland when you rent one of the camp's rowboats.
Looking down the lake towards the dam. The dam was built in the early days of the camp.
In order to swim, a boy had to bring a large rock to the lake. These rocks were then
dropped between two temporary walls. Concrete was then poured over each rock layer,
eventually creating the dam you see today.
A sunny spring day makes this sign somewhat unnecessary.
A comfortable seat by a beautiful lake.
Fish a plenty share the waters of Lake Vreeland.
