Camp Glen Gray Facilities |
With hundreds of acres, there are many beautiful and rustic spots at which to camp. Some are close to the center of camp, while others leave you far out with only the forest as company. Various size cabins, leanto sites and tent sites are all available. Come join us and continue a camping tradition that goes back to 1917.
Remember
-- only Gilwell Cabin, Gilwell Leantos and Benedict Cabin are handicapped
accessible, weather permitting and by prior arrangement with the camp. Service
animals are welcome at camp.
Vehicles - Vehicles are not permitted into camp, they must be parked in our parking lot. All cabins, leantos, and tent sites must be accessed on foot. You can make prior arrangments to have the camp truck take your gear up to most sites. The roundtrip fee is $25 and the service is dependent on weather conditions and truck and driver availability. If trucking is not used, all gear must be carried by your group into your campsite.
Day Visitors - As a weekend camping facility, we welcome day visitors only when they come up as part of a weekend group (klondike derby, merit badge fair, fishing derby, ...). If you are just visiting for the day, we do charge a fee of $4.00 per person (regardless of age). But it is more fun to spend the whole weekend !
Pictures - To see a picture of each facility, just click on the name of the facility. Most of them have a page of pictures. Then use the BACK button on your browser to get back to this page. Want to see a listing of all cabins? Cabin Catalog
The camp water system - Water is only available at cabins and campsites that have water during warm weather. Check with the camp office if you want to know if the system has been shut down for the winter. Water is always available at the West Well and at the Headquarter's Well.
Extra campers - Cabins have a rated occupancy capacity that cannot be exceeded. Campers in excess of a cabin's rating can pitch tents near the cabin. When a cabin has adjacent tent platforms, you can rent them along with the cabin for just $20/platform.
NOTICE - Camp managment reserves the right to require a damage deposit.
